What is ThoroVet?
ThoroVet is the first truly mobile equine veterinary software system available. ThoroVet consists of a cloud based system with a barn friendly intuitive app interface.
What does ThoroVet do?
ThoroVet holds a portfolio of the horses you treat, walks you thru a comprehensive SOAP examination or allows you treat horses on the fly with the day sheet. Generates invoices on the spot, gives the user access to patients medical records and much more. Syncs with QuickBooks Online and works even offline.
How will ThoroVet change my practice?
ThoroVet will have a meaningful impact on your practice by improving the billing and treatment accuracies, improving cash flow, cutting cost and slashing the process time allowing you to free more of your personal time and treat more patients.
How will ThoroVet affect my customers?
ThoroVet will improve customer satisfaction by providing the information you need to keep your customers informed of their horses treatment process, bill and treat more timely and accurately all even offline.
I’m not computer saavy. Will I be able to use ThoroVet?
Yes! ThoroVet is extremely user-friendly and requires no IT knowledge. If you need assistance we have set-up/data-conversion options from per-hour help to packages available for an additional fee. You can upgrade to our Priority Support level for on-going hands-on support for you and your staff after the initial on-boarding period.
What computers or Equipment do I need to get started?
ThoroVet can be accessed from the office on any Mac, PC, or Laptop, and the app is exclusively for iPad, iPad Mini, and iPad Pro use at this time. ThoroVet's app can only be downloaded from the Apple App Store. You will need one iPad per user if users will be accessing the system at the same times. Most iPads made in 2018 and newer, with a minimum of iOS 11 or newer, will work with ThoroVet. The amount of data (images, videos, documents, case documents and files) stored on your iPad itself (including storage within the case documents within a patient) will be dependant on the amount of storage your ipad offers. It is recommended to have an iPad with a minimum of 32 GB of storage. The greater storage, the more case documents you can store on you iPad such as lameness exam videos, radiograph JPEG images, etc. ThoroVet offers unlimited data storage in the cloud.

Where is my data stored and is it secure?
All of your data is safely stored on our encrypted servers in the cloud, and remains accessible to you at all times without using any of your hard drive space. Your information is backed up daily and encrypted to the highest standards.
What happens to my files if I cancel my subscription?
If you decide to cancel, your data will be stored for at least 7 years, and will remain viewable for 90 days. If you are no longer a ThoroVet subscriber, you will not be able to make changes or use the program, but you will be able to see information previously entered for 90 days.
Why can’t I just pay once to download and install the software?
ThoroVet is subscription based because it’s more than software. We provide tech support, complete data storage, and the ability to integrate your work in the field with your work in the office.
What if I don't have an internet connection, will ThoroVet still be functional?
No internet connection, no problem. Even if you are at the most remote farm or on the backside of a track and cannot connect to the internet you can still enjoy 90% of the functionality of the ThoroVet. Perform your examinations on your patients, create the medical record and treatment history, automatically generate invoices, upload images and video, view case documents, view patient history, view a client's profile including standing balance, add notes, add a discharge summary, and more. When you do return to civilization, simply connect via wifi or cellular and ThoroVet will sync everything you have done throughout the day, updating your admin section of the system and syncing with "the office". Anyone in the office can log into the Web Portal from any web browser, on any computer, to access the updated data. This includes QuickBooks Online. Once you connect to WiFi and Sync with QuickBooks Online, your office staff can immediatly access those invoices, run payments, apply payments, and more. If you are still in the field, that information will sync right back to your iPad in real time after each sync.
You will however, need an internet connection to use Stripe to store/process credit card payments, complete your electronic coggins through GVL, and sync any recently updated data with QuickBooks Online.

Do I need another cellular line?
No. ThoroVet will work on wifi. You can have full access to ThoroVet via a hotspot or most cell phones act as a wifi hotspot, however you can use ThoroVet in the field without any wifi access and sync later when you are back at the office, or able to connect to wifi.
IS Thorovet compatible with HISA for horse racing?
Yes, ThoroVet's software allows you to easily download a horse's medical records as a PDF so that you can upload them to HISA, or share medical records via e-mail anywhere they need to be sent. You can choose which records to send, and include or exclude any discharge summary notes.

The commitment to ThoroVet is a month-to-month subscription that requires a 30 day notice if you wish to cancel for any reason. We are confident that ThoroVet will have a meaningful impact on your business!
How will ThoroVet save me money?
ThoroVet will have the most immediate impact on your office expenses, by cutting costs associated with transcribing handwritten notes, generating invoices, and organizing files. This is true whether you do that work yourself or you pay a support staff. As a veterinarian and a business owner, your time is very valuable. ThoroVet ensures billing accuracy every time, and because the invoice is generated on-the-spot, it gets to the customer faster and you get paid faster. This leads to increased cash flow and more time to treat more patients.
IS there a Contract?
You may cancel at anytime after your 30-day notice. There are no long-term contracts.
Is there a free trial? What happens if I want to cancel? is it refundable?
We do not offer a free trial as we are dedicated to bringing you onboard our system as smoothly as possible from start to finish. In the past, free trial periods have often resulted in customers having to fix data or settings that they may have set-up early on while playing around in the system to see how things worked, before our step-by-step set-up process began, that could complicate set-up or ensuring they had only true data for their medical and billing records.
We require 30-day notice to cancel your software if you determine that ThoroVet is not the right fit for your practice, but do not lock you in on any type of long-term contracts. After the 30-day notice, you will no longer be charged the monthly subscription fee and will not be able to use the system. We can export your medical records for up to 90 days after your cancellation. If you have not been actively using ThoroVet for a period of time after you signed up, we cannot refund any past charges but will gladly cancel your subscription with 30-day notice and stop future charges.

FAQ: Compatibility
I use Quickbooks for my accounting software, is ThoroVet compatible?
ThoroVet is completely integrated with Quickbooks Online to streamline your exams, treatment, and invoicing. Customer information, product and service information, and pricing transfer seamlessly so that you don't have to do double-entry, making getting started with ThoroVet a breeze! If you are already use QuickBooks, you can import your customers, services/codes, and pricing information seamlessly into ThoroVet. Quickbooks Online requires a separate subscription through www.intuit.com.
Can I import information I have already scanned into ThoroVet?
Yes. You can import most image and text documents (such as PDF files) into ThoroVet and associate them with specific horses in their case documents. You can also use the iPad to create images and video that can be associated with each horse.
Can patient and customer data that I already have in another database at my practice be uploaded to ThoroVet?
Yes, we can work with you through the process of merging your data, including patient, client, pricing, service and product lists, into ThoroVet so that your transition will be as seamless as possible. Excel spreadsheets of your data are needed to transfer into our Excel templates for importing into ThoroVet. From there you can clean up any data and then upload it into ThoroVet. Which web browsers are supported to run the web/admin side?
ThoroVet's Admin can be opened in a web browser from any computer. The iPad is meant to be used in the field by the veterinarian as an efficient tool with just what you need during your exams. The Web Admin is the heart of your system with additional options, accessibility, and management areas that are not available on the iPad. Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox are recommended. Internet Explorer is not compatible.
